The F61 Series Adaptor Plate is designed to facilitate the mounting of 1C20, 1C21, and 1C26 series thermostats. Before beginning any installation, ensure that you have disconnected the electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock or equipment damage.
Description
The adaptor plate assembly includes the wall cover plate and the adaptor plate. It is designed to cover junction boxes, wall damage, or markings from old thermostats. It also allows for vertical thermostat mounting on vertical junction boxes.

Installation
The installation method depends on whether you are mounting to a junction box or directly to the wall.

Mounting to a Junction Box
- Ensure the junction box is prepared.
- Use the provided adaptor plate and wall plate.
- Secure the assembly using the provided 6-32 x 3/4 inch flat-head machine screws.
- Follow the specific mounting diagram for your thermostat model (1C20/1C21 or 1C26) to align the base and subbase correctly.
Mounting Directly to the Wall
- When installing the wall cover plate and thermostat directly to the wall, do not use the machine screws provided for junction boxes.
- Use the pointed screws that were supplied with the thermostat itself.
- Ensure the wall plate is positioned correctly before securing the thermostat base.
