Firmware Update Instructions for Williams AV Infinium Receiver BA R1

Important Information for Firmware Update

Before beginning the firmware update process for your Williams AV Infinium Receiver BA R1, ensure you have the necessary equipment and environment. This update requires a PC running Windows 10 or higher; it is not compatible with macOS. You will also need a USB-A to USB-C cable to connect the receiver to your computer.

Firmware Update Procedure

Follow these steps to successfully update your receiver firmware:

1. Download the firmware file: Visit the Infinium receiver product page on the Williams AV website or the Documentation & Firm page. Download the firmware file but do not unzip it.
2. Download the Updater utility: Download the Infinium Firmware Updater utility from the website.
3. Prepare the Updater: Locate the downloaded Infinium Receiver Updater file, right-click it, and select Extract All from the pop-up menu to unzip it.
4. Launch the Updater: Double-click the extracted Updater file to open the application.
5. Perform the update: Follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted to browse for the firmware file, navigate to the location where you saved the firmware file in Step 1. Important: Upload the entire ZIP file; do not extract the firmware file before uploading.
6. Disconnect: Once the update process is complete, unplug the receiver from the USB cable.
7. Verify the update: Press the Menu/Select button on the receiver to confirm that the firmware update was successful.
