Battery installation
To power the device, slide the battery door open on the back of the unit and insert one AAA alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated in the compartment.
Setting the clock
- Slide the TIME SET LOCK switch on the front of the unit to the TIME SET position.
- Press the HR button to set the correct hour.
- Press the MIN button to set the correct minute.
- Slide the switch back to the LOCK position.
Operation and settings
- Display switching: Press the TEMP/CLOCK button to toggle between the clock and indoor thermometer display.
- Temperature units: Use the slide switch on the back of the unit to select between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
- Back-light: Press the LIGHT button to illuminate the display. Note that frequent use will reduce battery life.
- Min/Max records: Press the TEMP MIN/MAX or HUMIDITY MIN/MAX buttons once to view maximum recorded values, and twice to view minimum recorded values. Press the CLEAR button to reset these records.
Safety and maintenance
The device will display LO or HI if temperature or humidity levels exceed the specified ranges. Always dispose of old batteries in an environmentally safe manner. Do not mix old and new batteries, do not use rechargeable batteries, and do not incinerate batteries as they may leak or explode.
