Quick Guide from the Manual
The DJI Mavic 3 is a sophisticated aircraft and is not a toy. It is not suitable for users under the age of 16. Before flying, ensure you have read the full user manual available at www.dji.com/mavic-3/downloads and updated your firmware and the DJI Fly app to the latest versions.
Flight Environment
- Weather: Do not fly in severe weather conditions, including wind speeds exceeding 13.8 m/s, snow, rain, fog, hail, or lightning.
- Altitude: Do not fly 6,000 m (19,685 ft.) or higher above sea level.
- Temperature: Operate only in environments between -10°C and 40°C (14°F to 104°F).
- Obstacles: Avoid taking off from moving objects like cars or ships. Do not fly near reflective surfaces (water, snow) as this may limit the vision system.
- Interference: Avoid areas with magnetic or radio interference, such as Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, high-voltage lines, and radar stations.
- GNSS: Fly in open areas. Buildings, mountains, and trees may block GNSS signals and affect the compass.
Flight Operation
- Stay away from rotating propellers and motors.
- Ensure the aircraft, remote controller, and mobile device are fully charged before takeoff.
- Be familiar with the selected flight mode and understand all safety functions.
- Land the aircraft in a safe location if a low battery or high wind warning appears.
- Use the remote controller to manage speed and altitude during Return-to-Home procedures.
Battery Safety Notice
- Handling: Keep batteries away from liquids, moisture, and rain. Do not drop batteries into water.
- Damage: Do not use non-DJI batteries. Do not use swollen, leaking, or damaged batteries.
- Temperature: Use batteries between -10°C and 40°C.
- Charging: Do not charge immediately after flight; allow the battery to cool to room temperature. Ideal charging temperature is 22°C to 28°C.
- Storage: Do not store the battery for extended periods after fully discharging, as this may cause irreparable damage. If stored with low power, the battery will enter hibernation mode; recharge to wake it.

Practical help
Common problems
Ensure the battery has cooled to room temperature after flight. Charging should occur between 5°C and 40°C.
Avoid flying near reflective surfaces like water or snow, or in low-light conditions.
Move to an open area away from buildings, trees, and sources of magnetic or radio interference.
If a battery with low power was stored for a long time, recharge it to bring it out of hibernation.
Before use
- Ensure aircraft, remote controller, and mobile device are fully charged.
- Update DJI Fly app and aircraft firmware to the latest version.
- Check weather conditions (avoid wind > 13.8 m/s, rain, snow).
- Verify flight mode and safety functions.
- Ensure the takeoff area is open and free of magnetic interference.
