This guide covers the installation of the Falcon Ridge Cab Enclosure for the Polaris 1000XP Ranger. For best results, perform the installation in an environment that is 70°F (21°C) or warmer to ensure the adhesive Velcro bonds correctly to the roll cage. If installing in colder conditions, warm the Velcro at room temperature before application.
Preparation and Cleaning
Before beginning, ensure you have a large, clean, and flat surface to work on. Thoroughly clean the roll cage and plastic surfaces surrounding the doors using rubbing alcohol. This step is critical for proper Velcro adhesion.
Installation Steps
Velcro Strip Placement
Start by placing the 2" adhesive Velcro strips around the outside edges of the upper door frame. Follow the specific sequence:

- Place the 26" strip at the front of the frame.
- Place the 4" strip in the corner.
- Follow with the 24" strip.
- Place another 4" strip in the rear corner.
- Place the 18" strip down the back of the cage.
- Install the 30" adhesive 1" wide Velcro strip on the front bottom edge of the door frame.
Door and Snap Stud Installation
Once all Velcro is in place, attach the door to the vehicle. To install the snap studs on the bottom rear portion of the door:

- Insert the screw studs into the snap sockets on the door first.
- Pull the door into place and push the screw into the plastic to leave a mark.
- Remove the screw stud from the door and install it at the marked location.
Cleaning and Storage
To maintain the enclosure:
- Cleaning: Use a soft rag or sponge with a mild liquid detergent and warm water. Never rub windows with a dry cloth.
- Storage: Always roll the cab for storage; never fold it, as this will damage the windows. Roll to approximately 8 inches in diameter and store at room temperature.
