The Fiamma Carry-Bike Caravan Active 02094-05A is a bicycle carrier designed for caravan installation. Before installation, ensure the product is compatible with your vehicle. The manufacturer recommends that installation be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with local regulations. Always check the carrier periodically, especially after the first few kilometers and before/after long trips, to ensure it is firmly attached and that belts and brackets have not shifted.

Package contents

The package includes the main frame (A), rail support (B), and various mounting hardware including brackets (C), U-bolts (D), and fasteners (K, Q, X, Y, Z, W). Refer to the exploded view on page 2 for a complete list of components.

Installation

1. Main Frame Assembly: Insert the main frame (A) into the rail support (B). Secure using the provided hardware (K, X, Y) as shown in step 1.
2. Mounting: Position the carrier on the caravan. Use the provided U-bolts (D) and fasteners (W, Z, X) to secure the carrier to the caravan frame. Ensure all connections are tight.
3. Drilling and Securing: Use the provided screws (Q) to secure the rail support. Ensure you use a 4mm drill bit where indicated in step 4.
4. Straps: Attach the straps (E) to the frame as shown in step 5 to secure the bike rack structure.

Usage

The carrier is designed to hold up to 3 bikes (or 2 E-bikes). Ensure the load is distributed correctly. To attach bikes, use the Bike-Block Pro S (F, G, H) components. Follow the 360-degree adjustment instructions on page 9 to position the bike blocks correctly on the frame and bike tubes.

Safety and Maintenance

• Driving: Be aware of the carrier's presence, especially when reversing. If your vehicle has parking sensors, exercise extra caution.
• Speed: Always comply with speed limits and traffic laws. Adjust speed according to traffic conditions and the load being carried.
• Trailers: If using a trailer, ensure the tow hook remains accessible and that the trailer's corner mobility is maintained according to DIN 74058.
• Maintenance: Regularly check the rubber components under the upper and lower brackets, as well as the straps. Replace them immediately if they appear porous or worn.
