The Fiamma Carry-Bike Caravan Universal is designed to carry up to 2 bicycles with a maximum total weight of 35 kg. Installation requires drilling into the vehicle wall or rear door. Always ensure the mounting surface is sufficiently solid to support the rack and the load. If the surface is not solid, it must be reinforced.

Package contents

The package includes the main frame components (A, B, C, D), mounting hardware (E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P), and various screws, washers, and nuts (Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, Z, K, J). Refer to the diagram on page 2 for a complete inventory of parts.

Installation

Installation should be performed by qualified personnel. Follow these steps:

1. Preparation: Verify the vehicle wall or rear door is solid enough to support the rack.
2. Mounting: Use the provided hardware to secure the frame. Drilling (4 mm) is required for certain mounting points.
3. Assembly: Assemble the frame components (A, B, C, D) as shown in the diagrams.
4. Securing: When tightening the fork to the tube, ensure a 2 mm space is left. Do not fully tighten.
5. Final check: Ensure all fasteners are secure.

Usage and safety

Adhere to the following safety guidelines:

• Weight distribution: Distribute weight uniformly. Place the heaviest bikes closest to the vehicle wall.
• Speed: Comply with local speed limits and traffic regulations.
• Visibility: If rear visibility is limited, use additional rear-view mirrors.
• Maneuvering: Be cautious when reversing, especially if the vehicle has parking sensors.
• Periodic checks: Check the rack's attachment, especially after the first few kilometers and before/after long trips.

Maintenance

Regularly inspect the rubber parts under the upper and lower brackets, as well as the belts. If they appear porous or worn, replace them immediately to prevent damage to the rack or vehicle.
