The Fiamma Carry-Bike Frame Ducato E-Bike (02094-36A) is designed specifically for Fiat Ducato vans. Before installation, ensure your vehicle is compatible: this model is not suitable for vehicles with 270° hinge systems and must be installed on the right rear door only. Always verify compatibility with rear windows using the template available on the Fiamma website. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg (25 kg per bike, maximum 2 bikes). Always remove batteries from e-bikes before transport and do not use bike covers.

The Carry-Bike is a rear-mounted bicycle carrier designed for e-bikes. It consists of a main frame, mounting brackets, and rail supports. The system allows for the rear door to be opened even when bikes are mounted, provided the installation is performed correctly.

Installation preparation

Before starting, check that all parts are present and undamaged. Ensure the rear door is securely closed. You will need basic tools for assembly. The installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with local regulations. Always check the vehicle wall or rear door for sufficient stability to support the anchoring points.

Installation steps

The installation process involves several precise steps:

• Screw replacement: Remove existing screws on the door hinge area and replace them with the provided hardware (X, Y, J) one at a time to maintain door alignment.
• Bracket mounting: Attach the mounting brackets (D, E, F) to the door using the specified screws and washers. Tighten firmly but do not force.
• Frame assembly: Assemble the main frame (A, B, C) and attach it to the mounting brackets.
• Final adjustments: Ensure the frame is level and the door opens and closes correctly before fully tightening all screws.
• Rail attachment: Install the rail supports (B2) onto the frame.

Usage and loading

When loading bicycles, distribute the weight evenly, placing the heaviest bike closest to the vehicle wall. Ensure there is sufficient distance between the handlebars/pedals and the vehicle's rear windows to prevent damage. It is recommended to rotate the handlebars of the bicycles to avoid contact with the vehicle wall. Always check that the bike carrier is firmly attached, especially after the first few kilometers and before/after long trips.

Safety and maintenance

Regularly inspect the bicycle rack for any signs of wear or loose components. Check the rubber parts under the brackets and the straps; replace them immediately if they show signs of porosity or wear. Always comply with speed limits and the Highway Code. If rear visibility is limited, use additional rear-view mirrors. Note that the rear windscreen wiper may be obstructed by the bikes; check the wiper's range of motion before use.
