The Fiamma Carry-Bike VW T5 Pro is designed specifically for the Volkswagen T5. Before installation, ensure the vehicle's tailgate is strong enough to support the carrier. Important: For models with an electric tailgate, contact your VW dealer to check the gas pistons, as they may need to be upgraded to support the weight of the carrier. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.

The package includes various components (A-Y) required for assembly. Refer to the exploded view on page 2 to identify all parts, including brackets, screws (M6x95, M6x60, M6x65), and washers.
Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install the carrier:
- Step 1: Assemble the main structure using the provided screws and brackets. Ensure correct alignment.
- Step 2-8: Attach the upper and lower brackets to the vehicle tailgate. Do not fully tighten screws initially.
- Step 9: Pull down the structure to fix the lower brackets securely.
- Step 10: Tighten all screws firmly once the carrier is aligned.
- Step 13:Warning: When attaching the fork to the tube, do not fully tighten. Leave a 2mm space.
- Step 15: Assemble the Bike-Block components (O, O2) to secure the bicycles.
Usage and safety
Adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Weight Limits: Maximum load is 60 kg. The carrier can hold up to 4 standard bikes or 2 E-bikes.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute weight uniformly, placing the heaviest bikes closest to the vehicle wall.
- Driving: Always be aware of the carrier's presence, especially when reversing. Use additional rear-view mirrors if rear visibility is limited.
- Tailgate Operation: You can open the tailgate with the carrier mounted, but only when it is empty (no bikes).
- E-bikes: It is recommended to remove batteries from E-bikes before loading.
- Visibility: If the carrier blocks the rear lights, install a light repeater bar.
Maintenance
Periodically check the carrier's attachment, especially after the first few kilometers and after long trips. Ensure belts are not loose and holding brackets have not shifted. Replace any worn components immediately. Do not use bike covers with this model.
