This document provides installation and usage instructions for the Fiamma Carry-Bike VW T6 PRO, designed for Volkswagen T5, T6, and T6.1 vehicles. Before installation, ensure the vehicle's rear door is solid enough to support the carrier. If your vehicle has an electric tailgate, contact your VW dealer to verify the gas pistons can support the additional weight of the carrier and bikes.
Package contents
The package includes the main carrier structure and various mounting hardware. Refer to the exploded view on page 2 to identify all components (A-Y) and ensure you have the necessary tools: an 8mm/10mm wrench, a 4mm drill, and measuring tape.

Installation instructions

- Preparation: Check that all parts are undamaged. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.
- Assembly: Follow the step-by-step diagrams (pages 4-11) to assemble the structure.
- Mounting: Attach the upper and lower brackets to the tailgate. Ensure the brackets are aligned correctly and do not interfere with the vehicle's roof, hinges, or rear lights.
- Securing: Tighten all screws and brackets. Do not close the tailgate until the carrier is fully secured to avoid damaging the vehicle's lights.
- Final Check: Verify that the carrier is firmly attached and does not shift.
Usage and safety
Weight Limits: The maximum load capacity is 60kg. Distribute weight uniformly, placing the heaviest bikes closest to the vehicle wall.

Driving Safety:
- Always signal the presence of the carrier if it extends beyond the vehicle's dimensions.
- Use additional rear-view mirrors if rear visibility is limited.
- Adjust your driving style, especially when reversing or using parking assist systems.
- Comply with local speed limits and traffic laws.
Operational Notes:
- The tailgate can be opened with the carrier mounted, but only when no bikes are loaded.
- Rotate bicycle handlebars to prevent damage to the vehicle wall.
- Remove bicycle batteries before loading them onto the carrier.
- Bike covers are not permitted on this model.
- If rear light visibility is obstructed, install a light repeater bar.
Maintenance and accessories
Periodically check the carrier's attachment, especially after the first few kilometers and before/after long trips. Inspect rubber parts and straps for wear and replace them immediately if they become porous or damaged. A range of accessories, such as Rail Premium tracks and Bike-Block adapters, is available to customize your setup.
