The Hazer 1200 is a professional smoke machine designed for indoor use. This guide provides essential steps for installation, operation, and maintenance. Always ensure the machine is placed on a horizontal surface and kept in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
Safety Information
- Indoor use only: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or splashing liquids.
- High temperature: The sprayer nozzle becomes very hot. Maintain a minimum distance of 300 cm from other materials.
- Ventilation: Keep at least 1 meter of clearance around the unit to ensure sufficient cooling. Do not cover cooling holes.
- Liquid safety: Use only high-quality fog liquid recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use oil, gas, perfume, or other flammable liquids.
- Light damage: Do not point strong light output from other fixtures at the Hazer 1200, as intense illumination can damage internal parts.

Installation
- Unpack the unit and check for any shipping damage.
- Place the machine on a flat, horizontal surface.
- Open the liquid tank cover and fill it with high-quality fog liquid. Do not overfill.
- Plug the remote control receiver into the socket on the rear panel.
- Ensure the unit is in a well-ventilated area.
Operation and Control Panel
The machine features a 6-button control panel with an LCD display for navigation.
- Function: Enters programming mode.
- Up/Down: Adjusts values.
- Timer: Starts timer-controlled operation.

- Manual: Press and hold for manual haze output.
Operation steps: Connect the power and wait approximately 10 minutes for the machine to warm up. Once hot, use the remote or control panel to trigger the haze. Note that the pump will only operate when the machine has reached the required temperature.
DMX Configuration
The Hazer 1200 uses a 2-channel DMX mode:
- Channel 1: Fog volume setting (0%-100%).
- Channel 2: Fan speed (0%-100%).
To set the DMX address, use the Function button to navigate to 'DMX512 Add' and use the Up/Down buttons to select the desired address (1-512).
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance is required to extend the life of the machine. Perform the following cleaning procedure after approximately 40 hours of use:
- Unplug the machine and allow it to cool down.
- Disassemble the spray nozzle and clean it.
- Fill the tank with a solution of 80% distilled water and 20% white vinegar.
- Run the machine until the tank is empty to clean the internal refractory pipe.
- Reinstall the nozzle and refill with fresh fog liquid.
Practical help
Common problems
No fog output or low output
Check if the tank has enough liquid, verify the fuse, ensure the remote console is connected, and check the power plug.
Machine damaged by light
Do not point strong light output from other fixtures at the Hazer 1200, as intense illumination can damage the parts.
Difficulty recognizing breaks in fog output
If the interval duration is set to less than 20 seconds, liquid left in the nozzle may continue to evaporate during the pause.

- Remove all packaging material, especially from the spray mouth.
