This manual provides instructions for the installation of the Golden Lighting 1094-OWM outdoor wall light. All installation work should be performed by an accredited professional. Ensure the power supply is shut off at the circuit breaker before beginning. Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified for the bulb.
Preparation
Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and locate the yellow bag containing all parts. Before installing, ensure you have removed the old fixture and mounting strap from the wall. Identify the mounting strap (B) and ensure it aligns with the junction box and the fixture's backplate (F).
Wiring Instructions
Have an assistant support the fixture's weight while completing the wiring. Connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires from the junction box as follows:
- Hot Wire: Connect to the house hot wire (smooth, black, or transparent with black inner thread).
- Neutral Wire: Connect to the house neutral wire (ribbed, white, or transparent with white inner thread).
- Ground Wire: Connect to the house ground wire (copper, bare metal, green, or transparent with green inner thread).
Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure them with a wire connector, ensuring all twists are in the same direction. If there is no house ground wire, wrap the fixture's ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket.
Installation Steps
- Secure the mounting strap (B) to the junction box using mounting screws (D).
- Place the backplate (F) onto the mounting strap (B) until the mounting screws (A) protrude through the holes.
- Thread the deco nuts (H) through the washer (G) onto the mounting screws (A) and tighten until the backplate is snug against the wall.
- Attach the glass shade (K) to the lamp holder (I) through the socket (J) and secure it with the socket ring (L).
- Install a light bulb (not included) according to the fixture's specifications.
Maintenance and Sealing
After installing the fixture, apply a silicone sealant caulking to seal the gap between the enclosure and the mounting surface. Important: Leave a small gap unsealed at the bottom to allow for the drainage of any water that might leak into the enclosure.

Common problems
Fixture not working after installation
Verify that the bulb is installed correctly and is not burnt out. Ensure all wiring connections are secure and the circuit breaker is turned on.
Water accumulation inside the fixture
Ensure that the silicone sealant was applied correctly around the enclosure, but verify that the bottom section was left unsealed to allow for drainage.
