This document provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Hansgrohe Raindance Select S Showerpipe 240 1jet. Before installation, ensure the product is free from transport damage. The system is designed for use with drinking water and is not suitable for steam baths. Ensure that hot and cold water supplies have equal pressure.

Safety instructions

• Wear gloves during installation to prevent crushing and cutting injuries.
• The product is intended for bathing, hygienic, and body cleaning purposes only.
• The shower head arm is designed only to hold the shower head; do not load it with other objects.
• Children and adults with physical, mental, or sensory impairments must not use the product without supervision.
• Avoid contact of the shower stream with sensitive body parts (e.g., eyes). Maintain an adequate distance between the shower and the body.
• The product must not be used as a handle; install a separate handle if needed.

Installation instructions

• Prior to installation, inspect the product for transport damage.
• Pipes and fixtures must be installed, flushed, and tested according to applicable standards.
• Installation dimensions are ideal for people approximately 1800 mm tall and may need adjustment.
• The premounted filter insert must be used to ensure normal flow and prevent dirt from entering the system.
• If the continuous water heater causes problems or if there are significant pressure differences, install a water limiter (article number 97510000) in the cold water supply.

Maintenance and Operation

Safety Function: The desired maximum temperature (e.g., max. 42°C) can be pre-set using the safety function.

Maintenance: Check valves must be checked regularly according to EN 806-5 (at least once a year). To ensure the smooth running of the thermostat, turn it from total hot to total cold from time to time.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues such as insufficient water, crossflow, or incorrect output temperature, refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual. Common solutions include cleaning the filter inserts, adjusting the thermostat, or replacing the thermo cartridge.
