This manual provides instructions for the Hansgrohe Talis Classic Basin Mixer. Key safety requirements include wearing gloves during installation to prevent injury and balancing pressure between hot and cold water supplies. Do not use acetic acid-based silicone during installation.
Installation
The fitting must be installed, flushed, and tested according to valid norms. If you experience issues with a continuous flow water heater or require higher water flow, the EcoSmart flow limiter located behind the aerator can be removed.
- Step 1-3: Prepare the basin and install the mixer body.
- Step 4-5: Ensure proper connection of water supplies.
- Step 6: Tighten connections using appropriate tools (SW 10mm and SW 19mm).
- Step 7-12: Install the drain assembly and test for leaks.

The mixer is equipped with EcoSmart (flow limiter) as standard.
- Operating pressure: max. 1 MPa
- Recommended operating pressure: 0.1 – 0.5 MPa
- Test pressure: 1.6 MPa
- Hot water temperature: max. 80°C
- Recommended hot water temperature: 65°C
Hansgrohe mixers can be used with hydraulically and thermally controlled continuous flow heaters if the flow pressure is at least 0.15 MPa.
Operation
The mixer is operated via a single lever. Lift the lever to open and adjust flow; turn left/right to adjust temperature.
Adjustment
The mixer features a hot water limiter. To adjust, remove the handle and adjust the limiter mechanism (see page 33). No adjustment is necessary when using a continuous flow water heater.
Maintenance
The QuickClean cleaning function allows for easy removal of lime scale. Simply rub your fingers over the spray channels to dislodge deposits. For general cleaning, use mild soap and water; do not use abrasive cleaners.
