Quick Start Guide

To operate your Frigidaire dishwasher, follow these essential steps:

• Load dishes: Scrape off large food particles. Load items so they do not block the spray arms or detergent dispenser.
• Add detergent: Fill the main wash cup according to water hardness.
• Add rinse aid: Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled for better drying.
• Select cycle: Choose the desired cycle and options (e.g., High Temp, Heat Dry).
• Start: Press the START/CANCEL pad and immediately close the door to begin.

• Ensure the dishwasher is electrically grounded.
• Keep young children away from the dishwasher while it is operating.
• Do not touch the heating element during or immediately after a wash cycle.

• If the hot water system has not been used for 2 weeks or more, run the hot water faucet for several minutes before using the dishwasher to release accumulated hydrogen gas.

Controls and Settings

• Wash Cycle Selections: Includes Heavy Wash, Normal Wash, and 1 Hr. Wash.
• Temp: Use the High Temp option to heat water to approximately 155°F (68°C) for heavy soil loads.
• Heat Dry: Enhances drying performance when used with rinse aid.
• Delay Time: Allows you to delay the start of a wash cycle for 4 hours.
• Control Lock: Press and hold the Options pad for 3 seconds to lock controls and prevent accidental changes.

Operating Instructions

Loading the Dishwasher:

• Load glasses in the top rack only.
• Load plastic items in the top rack only to prevent melting.
• Load items with open ends facing down for better cleaning and draining.
• Ensure tall items do not block the spray arm rotation.

Detergent and Rinse Aid:

• The detergent dispenser has two cups: a pre-wash cup and a main wash cup.
• Use only fresh automatic dishwashing detergent.
• Rinse aid improves drying and reduces water spots. Adjust the dial under the dispenser cap to increase the amount dispensed if spotting occurs.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning the Glass Trap:

• Pull the glass trap handle up and out to remove.
• Empty any debris collected.
• Slide the glass trap back into location and push down to lock it into position.

Troubleshooting

• Dishes not dry: Select Heat Dry or High Temp Wash, and ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled.
• Food soils left on dishes: Check rack loading, ensure the glass trap is clean, and verify incoming water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C).
• Dishwasher won't run: Check if the circuit breaker is tripped, the door is latched, or if the Delay Start option is active.
• Dishwasher leaks: Check the door gasket for proper seating and ensure rinse aid has not spilled.
