Quick guide from the manual

This document provides installation and maintenance instructions for the LeoVince 15242T Slip-On Exhaust. Before beginning, ensure the exhaust system is completely cool to avoid burns or damage to heat-sensitive components. Note that the exhaust requires a break-in period; slight gas leakage may occur initially, and it is mandatory to check and tighten all fasteners after approximately 100 km of use. Professional installation is highly recommended.

Components list

The kit includes the following main components:

  • Muffler (Silencer)
  • Link pipe
  • Fitting kit (includes springs, spacers, washers, and brackets)

  1. Remove the original silencer: Carefully detach the stock exhaust system from the vehicle.
  2. Prepare the link pipe: Verify that mating surfaces are clean. Slide the LeoVince link pipe onto the original header. If a graphite bushing is supplied, use it to replace the original one, taking care not to damage it. Partially tighten the securing strap to allow for final adjustments.
  3. Install the silencer: Slide the LeoVince silencer onto the link pipe. Check the alignment of the mounting eyes for the springs and the exhaust outlet. Secure the parts together using the provided springs.
  4. Secure the assembly: Mount spacers, washers, and brackets as shown in the product diagram. Tighten all nuts and bolts to secure the exhaust system.
  5. Final check: Tighten all clamps. Start the engine, allow it to reach operating temperature, and verify that there are no gas leaks.

Maintenance and care

To ensure the longevity of your exhaust system, perform the following maintenance:

  • Periodic inspection: Regularly check all brackets, fasteners, and connections. Inspect sound-deadening material, seals, and rubber parts for wear and replace them if necessary.
  • Cleaning: Clean the silencer using gasoline, diesel oil, or alcohol. Do not use any solvents.
  • Discoloration: Note that some discoloration of the silencer is normal due to heat and the nature of the materials used.

Important safety warnings

Modifications are strictly prohibited. Any modification or tampering with the exhaust silencer voids the warranty and releases the manufacturer from any responsibility regarding defects, malfunctions, or damages. Always ensure the exhaust has cooled down before performing any work to protect yourself and the vehicle's components.
