The Michelin MPX EH series (17EH, 19EH, 22EH, 25EH) are high-pressure washers designed for domestic cleaning tasks. Before use, ensure the appliance is placed on a firm, stable surface. Always connect the water supply and bleed the air from the system before turning the unit on. Never operate the appliance without water, as this will cause damage.
Assembly
The appliance is delivered partially assembled. Refer to the illustrations in the manual for the specific assembly sequence:
- Attach the handle and brackets (C11) to the main unit.
- Connect the high-pressure hose (B5) to the water outlet and the gun (B3).
- Attach the lance (B2) to the gun.
- Connect the water filter (L) and adapter (C9) to the water inlet.
- Ensure all connections are secure and clicked into place.
Operation
Start-up:
- Turn on the water supply tap fully.
- Release the safety catch (D) on the gun.
- Depress the gun trigger for a few seconds to bleed air from the system.
- Set the starter device (H) to the ON/I position.
Detergent Use:
To use detergent, set the nozzle (E) to the appropriate setting or attach the detergent kit (C13) if applicable. Adjust the quantity using the regulator (F). Use only biodegradable detergents.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the nozzle: Disconnect the lance and remove dirt deposits using the provided tool (C1).
- Cleaning the filter: Inspect the inlet filter (L) and detergent filter before each use. Clean if necessary.
- Unjamming the motor: If the motor seizes after long periods of inactivity, use a tool (M) to turn the drive shaft through the rear hole.
- Storage: Discharge residual pressure, disconnect from power, drain the detergent tank, and store in a dry, frost-protected place.
Troubleshooting
If the pump does not reach working pressure, check for a worn nozzle, fouled water filter, or air in the system. If the motor buzzes but fails to start, check the power supply voltage and extension cable characteristics. Always disconnect the plug from the power socket before performing any maintenance.

Pump does not reach working pressure
Check if the nozzle is worn, the water filter is fouled, or if there is air in the system. Ensure the water supply tap is fully open.
Motor buzzes but fails to start
Check that the mains voltage matches the data plate and verify the extension cable is suitable. Contact an Authorised Service Centre if the issue persists.
Water leakages
Seals may be worn. Have them replaced at an Authorised Service Centre.
No detergent sucked in
Ensure the nozzle is set correctly, the detergent is not too dense, and you are using the original high-pressure hose.
