This document provides installation instructions for Scosche car audio kits (FC1270, 1273, 1235, FCJ1275) in 1996-Up Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles. Important: Always disconnect the negative battery cable before starting any electrical work. Note that a 3/16" gap may exist between the factory radio and the dash piece; Scosche installation kits include spacers to correct this.

Radio Removal
- Extract (2) screws in the trim bezel from just above the radio.
- Pop out the cover located just above the cup holder and remove the (2) screws from behind it.
- Pull the radio trim bezel away from the dash and unplug the AC/heating control.
- Extract the (2) screws securing the radio to the dash.
- Pull the radio from the cavity, disconnect the ground strap, unplug all connectors, and remove the radio.
Front Dash Speaker Installation
The factory provision is for a 5 1/4" 2-hole speaker.
- Carefully pry out on the inside windshield plastic pillar panels.
- Using a panel removal tool, carefully pry up on the speaker grille top dash panel.
- Unplug the warning lights on the driver's side and lift the panel up and away from the dash to remove.
- Extract the (2) screws securing each speaker, pull the speaker out of the dash, unplug the leads, and remove.
Front Door Speaker Installation (Infinity/Deluxe System Only)
The factory provision is for a 5" x 7" speaker mounted in a steel adapter. Note: The grille exists in base models, but there is no speaker or bracket.

- Remove the screw cover and extract the screw behind the door release housing trim.
- Extract (1) screw from the air flow area at the top front corner of the door panel.
- Carefully pop out the power window/lock control panel, unplug, and remove.
- Extract (1) screw from behind the power window/lock control panel.
- Extract (1) screw from the door panel’s armrest pocket.
- Carefully pry out around the perimeter with a panel removal tool to release the pop fasteners.
- Lift up on the panel, release the metal rod from the door opener, and remove the panel.
- Extract the (4) screws securing the speaker to the adaptor, unplug, and remove.
Rear Side Panel Speaker Installation
The factory provision is for 6" x 9" standard speakers.
- Carefully pry out on the speaker grille/fabric panel which runs along the bottom of the rear side windows. Fastening clips will release; remove the panel.
- Extract the (4) screws securing the speaker, unplug the leads, and remove.
Rear Pillar Tweeter Installation (Infinity/Deluxe System Only)
The factory provision is for a 2 1/2" tweeter.
- Using a panel removal tool, carefully pry down on the rear (back) edge of the plastic ceiling panel to release the fasteners and remove the panel.
- Carefully pop up the bottom rear plastic sill panel.
- Remove the bolt holding the upper rear shoulder seat belt swivel.
- Open the jack compartment on the left side, remove the jack, and extract (2) screws.
- Pull inward on the rear pillar panels to release the spring clips and access the tweeters.
- Slide the tweeter out of the bracket, unplug, and remove.
