This document provides instructions for replacing the lithium battery (ref. 1875294) used in the Somfy Link Essential alarm system. The battery is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. Always ensure you use a compatible Somfy battery to avoid the risk of explosion.

Installation

Follow these steps carefully to replace the lithium battery in your Link Essential:

1. Disconnect Power: It is essential to disconnect the Link from the power supply before starting.
2. Open Cover: Open the rear cover of the device and remove the old lithium battery.
3. Install New Battery: Connect the new lithium battery. Pay close attention to position the cable in the dedicated notch.
4. Finalize: Close the rear cover of the Link and reconnect the mains supply.

Safety Instructions

To ensure safe operation and prevent hazards, adhere to the following warnings:

• Explosion Risk: Do not replace the battery with an incorrect type. Use only compatible Somfy batteries.
• Handling: Do not subject the battery to impacts, drops, moisture, or splashing liquids. Do not immerse in liquid.
• Prohibitions: Do not throw the battery into fire, do not open, do not pierce, and do not expose to extremely low or high temperatures.
• Damage: Do not use the battery if a cable is damaged or if wires are exposed.
• Children: Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children.
• Cover Integrity: If the Link's cover does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it out of reach of children.
• Electric Shock: Do not touch the battery with wet or damp hands.
