Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential instructions for the Steinbach solar shower. It is intended for private outdoor use only. The shower must be anchored to a stable, level, and slip-proof surface. If temperatures drop below 10°C, the tank must be drained, and the shower must be dismantled and stored in a frost-free place.

Description

The shower tank is filled via a garden hose. Sunlight heats the water through the matt black surface of the tank. The shower features a direct cold water supply to the faucet, allowing for temperature adjustment.

Installation

Preparation: Ensure the setup location has access to water supply/drainage and good sun exposure. A second person is required for installation to hold the product.

  1. Position the shower and mark the drilling points through the base holes.
  2. Drill holes for the chosen attachment material (e.g., wall anchors).
  3. Secure the shower base to the floor using appropriate fasteners.

Assembly

Tighten all parts by hand to avoid damaging connections. If connections leak, use Teflon tape on the threads.

  1. Attach the O-ring to the connecting element and screw it into the tank.
  2. Assemble the shower head and attach it to the connecting element using the appropriate O-ring.
  3. Screw the hose adapter onto the hose connection.
  4. Attach the drain cap with its O-ring to the tank.
  5. Attach the cold water outlet with its O-ring to the tank.

Operation

Filling the tank: Connect a garden hose to the adapter and the water supply. Turn the faucet to the "hot" position and open it. The tank fills in approximately 3 minutes. Close the faucet once water flows consistently from the shower head.

Using the shower: Set the faucet to the center position to mix hot and cold water. Adjust the temperature and flow as desired. Note: Water may continue to drip from the shower head after closing the faucet due to pressure-free heating; this is not a defect.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean only with standard bathroom cleaner, clear tap water, and a lint-free cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Drain the tank before long periods of non-use to prevent bacterial growth.

Troubleshooting

If water leaks from a screw connection, wrap the thread with Teflon tape. If no water flows, check the supply and hose for blockages. If the water is not hot, ensure the shower is in a sunny location.
