The Televes 769214 is a high-performance SFP+ transceiver module designed for 10GbE networking. It utilizes an LC/UPC Duplex connector and is intended for indoor use with 9/125um single-mode fiber. Always keep protective caps on the connectors when not in use to prevent damage and laser exposure.

Safety Instructions

This product emits an invisible laser beam. Follow these safety precautions to prevent injury and equipment damage:

• Laser Safety: Avoid contact with laser radiation. Never look directly into the laser beam. Do not use visual aids like binoculars or magnifying glasses, as they may increase eye damage. Never point the laser beam at people or animals.
• Environment: Do not use the device near water, in highly humid environments, or near heat sources (radiators, amplifiers, etc.).
• Handling: Clean the unit only with a dry cloth. Do not place the device where it may be subject to strong vibrations or shocks.

Optical Connection Instructions

Proper handling of the fiber optic connection is critical for signal quality:

• Cable Type: Use only LC/UPC single-mode fiber cables.
• Connection: Carefully align the guides on both connectors when plugging the cable into the device, then push the connector all the way in.
• Cleaning: If the connector tip becomes dirty, clean it gently with a lint-free lens cleaning cloth dampened with additive-free isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the alcohol evaporates fully before connecting.
• Protection: Keep connector lids and cable caps for future use. Always fit the covers on device connectors that are not connected to cables to prevent laser beam exposure and dust accumulation.
• Operation: Do not turn the transmitter on without a fiber optic cable connected to it.
