This document provides installation instructions for the Touratech GPS Adapter designed for direct mounting to 12mm struts. It is compatible with Garmin Zumo XT, Zumo 5xx, 276Cx, and TomTom Rider series. The most critical requirement is to ensure all bolted connections are checked and re-tightened after the first 50 km of riding. Professional installation is recommended.

- If modifications are made to the fairing, stem, or handlebar, ensure that electrical wiring, brake lines, and clutch cables are refitted correctly and have full clearance with steering lock.

- Apply conventional lubricant to stainless steel bolts prior to assembly to prevent seizing.
Assembly Instructions
The installation process involves securing the adapter plate to the 12mm strut using the provided hardware. Torque Specifications

- M5: 5.5 Nm (Steel) / 1.7 Nm (Inox)
- M6: 9.7 Nm (Steel) / 3.0 Nm (Inox)

- M10: 47.0 Nm (Steel) / 14.0 Nm (Inox)
- M12: 80.0 Nm (Steel) / 24.0 Nm (Inox)
- M16: 196.0 Nm (Steel) / 59.0 Nm (Inox)
- M18: 270.0 Nm (Steel)
- M20: 385.0 Nm (Steel) / 114.0 Nm (Inox)
Maintenance
Regularly inspect all bolted connections. If you install additional accessories or aftermarket parts, ensure they do not come into contact with the adapter or restrict the motorcycle's operation. If the adapter is used in areas prone to stone chips, consider applying protective film.

Loose bolts after installation
