This guide covers the installation and initial setup of the Uniview Apartment Door Station. Before starting, ensure you have the necessary tools, such as a Phillips screwdriver. The device can be installed using a recess mount or a sunshield mount (sold separately). Always change the default password immediately after the first login to ensure network security.

Product Overview

The door station features a camera, microphone, display screen, card swiping area, and a keypad. The rear panel contains the network interface and cable terminal connector. The device supports both PoE and external power adapter options.

Installation

Recess Mount

1. Drill a recess and holes in the wall according to the bracket dimensions.
2. Secure the recess bracket to the wall using four pointed tail cross screws.
3. Connect the network and power cables to the cable terminal.
4. Fix the cable cover to the rear panel using four round tail cross screws.
5. Align the door station with the bracket and secure it with four torx screws.

Sunshield Mount

1. Paste the drill template on the wall and drill four holes at the marked positions.
2. Fix the sunshield to the wall using four pointed tail screws.
3. Connect cables as described in the recess mount section.
4. Secure the door station to the sunshield using four torx screws.

Startup and Settings

Power the device using a PoE connection or an external power adapter. The default IP address is 192.168.1.13, and the default login credentials are admin/123456. It is strongly recommended to set a strong password containing at least eight characters (letters, digits, and special characters) and to change it regularly.

Safety and Security

The device must be installed by a trained professional. Ensure proper ventilation and do not cover the vents. For network security, disable unused features like UPnP and SNMP, enable HTTPS/SSL, and regularly check device logs to detect unauthorized access.
