The Vista 1051WM is a commercial-grade linear floodlight designed for outdoor wall mounting. It features RGBW color mixing and DMX512-A/RDM control. Product overview
The 1051WM is an extruded aluminum fixture with die-cast end caps and mountings. It is environmentally sealed and features an adjustable aiming range of +/- 15 degrees. The fixture is designed for use in wet locations and is UL listed.
Installation and mounting
The fixture is designed for wall box mounting. The installation process involves the following:
- Wall Box: The die-cast A360 aluminum wall box includes two independent knockout holes suitable for 1/4-20 mount bolts (bolts provided by others).
- Concrete Mounting: A Concrete Pour Mask (CPM) is included for recessed mounting in concrete, along with an 8-32 rod kit for attachment to pour forms.
- Aiming: The wall mount allows for precise aiming with a +/- 15-degree adjustment range.
Wiring instructions
The fixture requires separate connections for power and communication to ensure proper operation and prevent interference:
- Power: Connect the 3-conductor power cable to the isolated power junction box within the Surface Box.
- Communication: Connect the DMX signal using 2 twisted pairs (in and out) plus drain to the isolated communication junction box within the Surface Box.
DMX control and operation
The fixture is equipped with an integral 4-channel DMX512-A/RDM compatible driver. Each driver has a unique 12-digit UID.
- Channel Mapping: The driver is factory-set to the following channel configuration: Channel 1 (Red), Channel 2 (Green), Channel 3 (Blue), Channel 4 (White).
- Configuration: The start channel can be changed during commissioning via RDM using the driver's 12-digit UID.
- Bus Capacity: The fixture consumes 1 Node on a standard 32-Node maximum DMX BUS.

Common problems
Fixture not responding to DMX commands
Ensure the DMX controller is compatible with DMX512-A/RDM protocols and verify that the fixture's 12-digit UID is correctly recognized on the DMX bus.
Mounting hardware missing
The fixture requires 1/4-20 bolts for surface mounting, which are not included with the product and must be supplied by the installer.
Before use
- Verify input voltage is within the 120-277 VAC range.
- Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture.
- Confirm that the DMX controller supports DMX512-A/RDM.
- Check that all necessary fasteners (1/4-20 bolts) are available for installation.
- Verify the intended distribution type (Narrow, Medium, Wide, etc.) matches the project requirements.
