Quick guide from the manual
The Vista 1052WM is a commercial linear floodlight designed for above-grade outdoor installation. This guide covers two primary mounting methods: direct mounting to a structural surface over a recessed 4-0 box or a weatherproof outlet box. Always ensure the electrical supply is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any installation or maintenance work.
Installation Overview
The luminaire can be mounted with the direction of illumination facing up or down. The throw of the light can be adjusted up to +/- 15 degrees from the horizontal position. Ensure all wire connectors used are UL recognized.
Mounting to Recessed 4-0 Box
- Ensure electrical supply is off at the circuit breaker.
- Install two 8-32 Mount Screws through the Wall Mount Plate and 4-0 Gasket into the holes designated as un-used. Affix with two Washers and 8-32 Hex Stand-Offs, tightening firmly by hand.
- Route luminaire Load conductors into the recessed 4-0 box.
- Connect Supply conductors to Load conductors following polarity: Supply (+) to Load (black), Supply (-) to Load (White), and Supply (Ground) to Load (Green). If using 0-10V dimming, connect Dimming Supply (+) to Dimming Load (Purple) and Dimming Supply (-) to Dimming Load (Grey).
- Affix the Wall Mount Plate to the 4-0 box using the remaining two 8-32 Mount Screws and tighten.
Mounting to Weatherproof Outlet Box
- Ensure electrical supply is off at the circuit breaker.
- Route luminaire Load conductors into the Weatherproof Outlet Box.
- Affix the Wall Mount Plate to the Weatherproof Outlet Box using the four 10-24 Mount Screws and tighten.
Aiming and Adjustment
- Adjust the aim of the luminaire up to +/- 15 degrees from horizontal.
- Firmly re-tighten the Aiming Adjustment Screw.
- Lock the desired aiming by firmly tightening the two Set Screws located on both sides of the Wall Mount Plate.
- Supply power to the luminaire and check for proper operation.
Maintenance and Safety
Safety Warning: The luminaire can become hot during operation; take care when locating the fixture. The unit is UL listed for above-grade installation only. To ensure proper operation and efficiency, the lens must be kept clean and free of dirt, dust, leaves, trash, and mineral deposits from water. A regular scheduled maintenance program is recommended.
Practical help
Common problems
Verify that the electrical supply is turned on at the circuit breaker and check all wiring connections for proper polarity.
Ensure the Aiming Adjustment Screw is firmly tightened and that the two Set Screws on both sides of the Wall Mount Plate are fully secured.
Clean the lens to remove dirt, dust, leaves, or mineral deposits.
Before use
- Ensure electrical supply is off at the circuit breaker.
- Verify the mounting surface is compatible with the chosen box type (recessed 4-0 or Weatherproof).
- Confirm all wire connectors are UL recognized.
- Ensure the installation location is above grade.
- Check that all necessary hardware (screws, washers, stand-offs) is present.
Specs in practice
- Aiming Adjustment
- The luminaire can be tilted up to +/- 15 degrees from the horizontal plane.
- 0-10V Dimming
- Supports dimming functionality using Purple (Dimming Supply +) and Grey (Dimming Supply -) wires.
Model compatibility
- UL listed for above grade installation only.
- Compatible with standard 4-inch diameter Weatherproof Outlet Boxes with 3 1/2-inch Bolt Circle Diameter (BCD).
