Quick guide from the manual

The Wiltec 63855 is an axle traverse with a maximum load capacity of 2000 kg (4000 lbs). It is designed to be used in conjunction with a compatible car jack to lift vehicles. Always ensure the traverse is mounted perpendicularly to the car jack housing and that the load is centered. Safety chains must be used to prevent overcharging.

Safety instructions

  • Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 2000 kg.
  • Always use the included safety chains and ensure they are properly fixed.
  • Do not use the traverse to lift a person.
  • The traverse is not suitable for aircraft.
  • Do not move a vehicle while it is sitting on the traverse.
  • The traverse is a lifting device only; immediately after lifting, support the vehicle with appropriate jack stands.
  • Check the device for loose or damaged parts before every use.
  • Wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves and safety goggles.

Assembly

Before assembling, read all safety instructions carefully.

  1. Remove the connecting screw and the existing saddle from your car jack (not included).
  2. Place the traverse onto the car jack.
  3. Spacer installation: For 3t low-profile jacks and 3t long-reach jacks, the spacer must not sit on the connecting screw. For other 3t and 4t car jacks, slide the spacer onto the connecting screw.
  4. Fix the connecting screw of the traverse and tighten it securely. Ensure the traverse is perpendicular to the car jack housing.

Operation

  1. Completely lower both saddle pads.
  2. Align each saddle pad with the vehicle's lifting points and center the weight over the car jack.
  3. Raise the traverse using the car jack until one saddle point is near the vehicle's lifting point.
  4. Raise the saddle pads until both make contact with the lifting points.
  5. Slowly lift the vehicle to the desired height. Ensure the traverse remains level and the load is centered.
  6. Place two jack stands at the recommended support points of the vehicle.
  7. Lower the vehicle onto the stands before beginning any work underneath.
