Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential setup and operational instructions for the ZOOM MS-80IR+ MultiStomp. Users should read the full safety precautions before use. The device can be powered by two AA batteries, a dedicated ZOOM AD-16 AC adapter, or a portable USB battery.
Installing batteries
Open the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Insert two AA batteries (alkaline, Ni-MH, or lithium), ensuring correct polarity. Precautions: Do not mix battery types or manufacturers, do not mix new and old batteries, and remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
Connecting equipment and turning the power on
Connect your guitar to the INPUT (L/MONO) jack. When using batteries, connecting a cable to this jack automatically turns the power on. Connect headphones or powered monitors to the output jacks. You can also connect the unit to a computer, iPhone, or iPad via the USB (Type-C) port for audio interface functionality.
Operating effects
- Turning effects on/off: Use the footswitch.
- Adjusting effects: Use the parameter knobs to adjust settings. If parameters span multiple pages, use the SCROLL buttons to navigate. Press a knob to close the parameter screen.
- Replacing effects: Press the LIBRARY button, select an effect using the direction buttons, and confirm.
- Adding effects: Press the ADD button, select an effect, and confirm. Note: You can combine up to one amp model, one studio ambience, and one other effect.
- Deleting effects: Press the DELETE button, select the effect to remove, and execute.
Using the tuner
Press and hold the footswitch to enter tuner mode. Play an open string to tune. The display shows the nearest note and pitch detuning. A βΆβ indicator appears when the pitch is in tune. Use the parameter knobs to adjust settings like output sound (BYPASS/MUTE), standard pitch (430 Hz β 450 Hz), and flat tuning.
Using the MENU
Press the MENU button to access system settings, including output volume, patch memory naming, effect order, BPM settings, battery type selection, display contrast, and USB audio monitoring balance.
Audio interface

The maximum combination limit (1 amp, 1 ambience, 1 other) has been reached. Delete an existing effect first.
