Sweeping and Dumping

Push the sweeper forward at a normal walking speed; it will not operate when pulled backward. For best results, mow the grass to an even height before sweeping. To dump the hopper bag, remove it from the sweeper and empty the contents. Always dump the hopper bag after each use.

Maintenance

Gear and shaft maintenance
  • General: After each use, dump and clean the hopper, and rinse/dry the sweeper. Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness.
  • Lubrication: Add a few drops of light oil to the brush shaft bearings twice a year. Clean the gear every two years and apply a coat of light grease.
  • Brush Replacement: Remove the hopper bag and flip the sweeper over. Remove nuts and bolts on brush retainers to remove old brushes. Insert new brushes between retainers and secure with M6 nuts and hex bolts.
